I know that when buying a house, my realtor will ask me a “qualifying question”, such as, How much do you want to spend? What neighborhood do you want to be in? How many bedrooms do you want? The answers to these questions create the foundation of my realtors search. Insurance should be much like that, but many consumers don’t know what to ask, so they fall for the “Which policy is Cheaper” instead of asking, “Which carrier is the most financially secure?”
So if you have a clients looking for homeowners insurance, give them a helping hand, ask them to search for an A. M. Best rater carrier, proof of financial security, their largest purchase deserves nothing less.
